Jeevan Darshan tit bits- Scho.Anand Anthony

Jeevan Darshan tit bits
Platinum Jubilee:
"Dare to dream, dare to deserve, dare to devote your life to love, an American proverb was displayed on the notice board on 22nd of October at Jeevan Darshan to felicitate our dear, Fr. Manucheril Sebastian , for his Platinum Jubilee.
We have shown our gratitude for his loyalty in the energetic 70 long years in the Society of Jesus as Missionary, Pastor and Educationist in GOD’s vineyard. While he was chatting with Fr. Ambrose Vedam , he said that his original name was not Manucheril but Mannucheril ( Mannu = Soil and Cheril = Joining) he generously allowed that misspelling to continue.
We can see that he is most happy and proud of his work with the people of Gujarat. We thank you, Fr. Manucheril, for your fidelity, for your loyalty to the Church, for the wonderful gentleness and humor, for all the magnificent things you have done for so many people in the name of the Lord. We esteem you, and pray on this big occasion of your Platinum Jubilee: "May Almighty God, continue to shower you good health and an increase in holiness. AMEN. ”
Twin Birth Day:
October 29th was a great day for the Jeevan Darshan community that witnessed the Twin Birth Day of Fr. Mendiburu Narciso  and Fr. Manucheril Sebastian, as they gracefully marched in to their 90th birth days.  Arch Bishop. Stanislaus Fernandes greeted the birthday babies with a pair of roses on behalf of Fr. Anton D’Souza and Br.Manuel Enériz respectively.
Fr. Mendiburu who celebrated the Eucharist, thanked the members of the community and guests for their presence, particularly that of our regular visitor Fr.Pablo Gil, Fr. Mendiburu reminded one and all that It is not How long we live, but How that counts, he requested Fr. Pablo to break the word of God.
Fr.Pablo emphasized also that as we grow old it is virtue that matters, the good man thinks always of virtue; the ordinary man thinks of personal comforts.  And he went on singing the remarkable contribution of the birthday babies to the Society of Jesus. Fr. Manucheril also shared his thoughts on this occasion thanking the whole society for what he is today and fondly remembered his good old days. Fr.Caesar D’cunha, with his natural buoyancy provided a sumptuous meal for the community.
Birth day of Fr. Luis Arza :
On 1.1.11, Fr. Luis Arza celebrated his 89th birth day. He was as usual with his beeming smile accpeted the birthday wishes from the community and the well wishers.  When Bishop.Godfrey de Rozario greeted him, Fr.Arza gave a good smile and just folded his hands to express  his deep felt  gratiude.
As these renowned Jesuits entered in to their nineties, I believe that they would be saying in their hearts that “When I close my eyes and prepare to blow out the candles on my birthday cake, I won’t just be making a wish. I’ll be taking a moment to appreciate all the wonderful, beautiful, people and things I came in contact with for the greater glory of God.” Let us keep our senior Jesuits in our prayers.
